On June 4, Kemu Co., Ltd., China Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association, related manufacturing companies and universities jointly held the fourth online meeting of the R-513A refrigerant application research project.
The participating units carried out research and optimization design of heat exchanger, compressor, throttle mechanism, material compatibility, etc. for R-513A screw type single cooling and heat pump unit. At present, each project member unit has initially completed the work of prototype testing. Participants also had in-depth discussions on the optimization and improvement measures of the R-513A screw chiller.
At present, the refrigerant commonly used in large and medium-sized chilled water (heat pump) units is R-134a. Although its ODP is zero, it has a high global warming potential (GWP) 1430. With the “Montreal Protocol” Kigali The entry into force of the amendment also faces the fate of being reduced or even eliminated. R-513A refrigerant is a mixture of R-1234yf/R-134a (component mass ratio 56/44), ODP is zero, GWP value is only 631, and the safety level is A1. It is replaced in large and medium-sized cold water (heat pump) units R-134a is feasible.
Kemu now has Opteon™ XP10 (R-513A) HFO refrigerant to meet the application needs of large and medium-sized chilled water (heat pump) units, while greatly improving environmental sustainability.
In order to cope with the common problems faced by the new alternative refrigerants in the production and application of refrigeration and air conditioning products, the research and evaluation of the application characteristics of R-513A refrigerant in cold water (heat pump) units are the R-513A refrigerant in the industry. Application promotion and related standards, norms and revisions have accumulated basic data and conditions. The association, in conjunction with Comor Corporation, universities, industry mainframes and compressor manufacturers, launched the R-513A refrigerant application research project in 2018.
